Early this spring I was gifted a tiny tiny plant of this Phlox paniculata ’Alma Jansson’, a local heirloom variety from one of my friends. I planted it in my hugelbed, and this morning I noticed this gorgeous flower. It is a very old variety discovered during a project to protect heirloom varieties a few years back. I am very grateful to have it in my garden. What are you grateful for today?

  3. they are so beautiful, Maria! A little patch of happiness! I’m grateful to have picked up my new e-bike yesterday! It’s too hot to ride at 113 degrees. 🔥😂

      1. I will try, Maria, I’m generally an early riser but the ambition to get out there and go isn’t always there…

  4. Oh, so lovely! I am grateful for the ferns along the backside of my house. Filling in on their own, they cost nothing, require nothing from me, and look beautiful all summer long. Who could ask for anything more?

    1. I LOVE ferns! We have them in them in many shady places here. They would not do very well in my garden though, since most of it is full sun 8+ hours. I enjoy them along several of the bike paths I frequent on a regular basis. I often stop and admire them.
