We’ve had some lovely days with occassional rain showers this past week. I love these cooler days, they are perfect for working in the garden. The breeze we’ve had kept all the biting insects away. (Biting insects can be a huge problem some days). I am most grateful for the little shed at my allotment. It is always a blessing to have a storage for my garden tools, but these rainy days it is so nice to have a dry place to be during the heavy rainfalls. Yesterday I spent some time cleaning the shed. I took most of my tools, pots, extra chairs, and gardening things outside and cleaned them. There’s still a few little things left to do on the inside, but it is so much nicer now compared to before I started.

What are you grateful for today?

Maria

  1. Maybe you can add a TV to the shed? I’m glad you have nice weather, Maria! Much cooler than yesterday’s 110 here. I am grateful for yesterday’s good doctor visit, no bad news. And, another beautiful sunny day today!

    1. So much to be grateful for :)

I vote no to the TV. I don’t even have a TV at my apartment. I love when it is quiet and I can hear the birds, the bees, and the wind. I think I’m going to have to make a video with all the sounds of nature that I do enjoy. Your idea gave me an idea! Have a wonderful day my friend.

    1. Yes :) I’m going to attach hooks to the inside roof for drying my garlic and herbs. That is on my list of things to do :) Soon, it is not long before the garlic is ready. Last year I harvested the garlic on July 11th. Enjoy your day Eliza!

  3. What an adorable shed. My dream! Ours is falling apart, but there are other projects that take precedence.

    1. There’s always projects! This one needs a new layer of paint and new stairs, but besides that it is very useful.

    1. The gift of gardening is priceless, in so many ways! My friends can not understand why I am up at 5-6am almost every day on my vacation to be in my garden…but I bet another gardener like yourself understands why :)

  5. Early in the morning in the garden is the best time! That’s wonderful to have a little shed to shelter in when the rain is more heavy.
