Daily Gratitude Challenge 2026 – The Container Garden

Today I’m grateful for our container garden. It’s a small balcony-garden with around 30 strawberry plants and some salad greens. The strawberry plants are runners from the strawberry plants at the allotment = free strawberries.

    A delicious treat! And, they are real unlike what manufacturers are doing here by putting fake strawberries in our food, so vile!

        Oh yes. I have seen videos on how these fake foods are manufactured, these companies are poisoning us in the name of profit.

    Oh, yes! Free strawberries are indeed something to be grateful for. In Maine, local strawberries are so expensive. I only buy them once or twice a season.

      They are very expensive here as well, and it is often almost impossible to find organic strawberries in the stores.

    It was nice and warm today and for that I am THANKFUL! It’s been a very cool June here where I live, close enough to rivers that flow into San Francisco Bay, and close enough to the ocean, to get marine influence and fog in the summer. But this June was worse than usual. I’m ready for true summer!

    The strawberries look delicious.

      Nice and warm sounds wonderful. I once rented a house in Carneros (Napa Valley), perhaps we were almost neighbours without knowing it? :)
