Welcome to the weekend coffee share. Can I get you a cup of coffee? Or tea?

Like I mentioned in a previous post I’ve spent a couple days in Stockholm this week. I’m not a big city girl, and there are many things that I do not like about the city, but there are some things that I do like about Stockholm. For example, I do LOVE the beautiful old houses with amazing details. Like the artful window in the staircase above. There are hundreds of beautiful old houses to admire in Stockholm.

I had a good and productive time in Stockholm. I was there to learn more about positive learning environments. I attended some very interesting seminars. On Thursday evening I went to a nice restaurant with some of my fellow students, followed by a night at one of my favourite hotels in Stockholm. The hotel breakfast is one of my favourite things when staying at a hotel, it did not disappoint.

I travelled by train as usual. The train to Stockholm, and back home was on time. Everything about the trip was good, but now I’m grateful to be back home. Home sweet home.

How is your week? Can I get you a refill on that coffee? Thank you Natalie for hosting the weekend coffee share.

Maria

  1. The windows are gorgeous! There’s no place like home, just like Dorothy said.

  2. Signs of spring! Not too many signs here, yet – more snow and below zero the next few days…
I like to get out, see new/different places, but it’s always good to return home!

    1. It will come :) Spring will be there in no time. When one have a home we love it is good to get back home. I’ve always appreciated travel more when I had a home I loved to get back to. Some years when the situation at home wasn’t as good, then I did not enjoy travel as much either.

  3. Hotel breakfasts are usually good – the temptation to eat more than usual though is always there.

  5. Glad you had a good trip to Stockholm. Those stained glass windows look lovely. I also spotted similar crocus flowers in my neighbourhood this week. Thank you for your weekend coffee share.

    1. Thank you Natalie! I love old stained glass windows, they always tell a story and make me think about what they’ve seen in their life time.

  6. More crocus popping up. I have seen a few bloggers post about the excitement of seeing the flowers appear. My mind drifted to your coffee and cheese on bread and now I am contemplating reading my book with jarlsberg cheese on my sourdough bread on the side for lunch. Very Swedish! It’ll be tea for me though instead of coffee.

    1. Yes! I hope your lunch was absolutely delicious! Jarlsberg is a favourite here as well, but if my daughter has a say it’s aged Cheddar on the table.

      1. The are some delicious cheeses available and I have just been tucking into some Dutch smoked cheese and apple, as I read your comment! Aged cheddar is yummy too!

    1. Thank you so much! I hope your weekend was lovely and that your new week got off to a great start. When I got home from Stockholm my daughter started to get sick, so at our house this week is more quiet than usual.

  10. For me, home is always best, but cities have wonderful things to offer. Used to go to New York City often when my eldest daughter lived there. Always had fun.
