Can I get you a cup of coffee, or tea? If you’re not in a hurry there’s some banana bread in the oven that’ll be ready in a few minutes, perhaps you’d like to try some?

Eagle Howl statue, in our city Falun. The official landscape animal (landskapsdjur) of our region Dalarna is the Eurasian eagle-owl.

I took the three first photos in this post during a Halloween walk in our city last night. I wasn’t very impressed with the Halloween decorations, but the walk was great anyways.

My daughter and I decided to visit a coffee shop during our walk.

The last three photos are from my morning walk earlier today. There’s still some leaves left on the trees, but most of the leaves are on the ground. It was frost on the ground early this morning.

These are the same aspen trees I shared three weeks ago in all their glory. Winter is coming…soon.

All the birch trees in this nature preserve area lost their leaves. They almost look a little spooky, don’t you think? Did you notice anything in particular in nature, in your area this week?

My week’s been good so far, work, and time with my daughter. I’m all caught up with my own studies, and then some. I planned it like that to be able to spend more time with my daughter this week, she’s on a one week “Fall School Break”. We’ve been going for walks, we’ve been cooking together, and today we’re baking. How is your week?

Maria

  1. I’m so glad that you two are spending so much time together, Maria, so wonderful!! So important. It feels great to be all caught up on things doesn’t it? I’d like to visit the ski jump!

Nothing unusual around here except the occasional rain showers, its supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow but I’ll believe that when it happens.

It’s nice to have the summer heat done for the year. Aspen and Birch trees, both native to North America! Have a happy weekend and safe new week, Maria!
