Welcome to the weekend coffee share! Can I get you a cup of coffee? Or tea? The first week of September is treating me well. I worked Monday-Wednesday, and went to school Thursday and Friday (online). Thursday evening we had a fantastic start-up for this years language work for all kindergartens in our region. It was inspiring, and at the same time confirming that we are on the right path with the projects we currently have going. How is your week?

This weekend there’s a street festival in town, Granny Goes Street. It’s a fun yearly festival with music, food, and different vendors. My daughter participated in the Pride parade yesterday. I did not participate, but met her afterwards to go to a cafe. The photo at the top is from that coffee place.

The whole town is in a festive mood. It is one of the most popular weekends of the year. A happening many people of all ages look forward too. We met people from 0-100 years old yesterday, all happy and smiling. I never go out at night, and don’t know what the scene look like then, I assume it is slightly different. We had a great time yesterday and we both voted for a quiet evening at home afterwards.

Today there’s a bike ride in a near future, some meal prepping, and relaxing on the schedule. The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day. Many thanks to Natalie for hosting the weekend coffee share. How are you going to enjoy your day?

  8. I’m so glad you had such a good week both at work and at the street festival over the weekend. The town next to mine had its annual street festival from Thursday until today. Some of my fellow residents went there with a staff, but it’s too crowded and noisy for my liking.

  9. A positive community event with lots of happy people – pretty good to read that!
We’re by the water this weekend, and the sun is shining, so there’s still a slight sense of summer for now!

  11. Hi Maria, what a lovely post and it sounds like a fun weekend for all. We have been having a lot of rain from a Hurricane which is downgraded to a tropical storm called Marie. It caused big waves along the shores here and it’s extremely humid out too. We really needed some rain so it’s not all bad. Thanks for the coffee and I hope you have a great week ahead! ❤️🤩🤗

  12. I am always hit and miss with street events. Sometimes too crowded for my head but this one sounds just right as does the quiet evening at home after. The bike ride the next day sounds perfect as well.
