Daily Gratitude Challenge 2026 – The Weather And Air Quality

Today being my first day back to work after my vacation I am most grateful for the pleasant weather and the air quality. Yesterday there was a big fire in a nearby city, but it is under control and there is no longer a warning to the public regarding that fire. I am most grateful!

      Thank you John. 68-79F this week, comfortable temperatures when you work and spend lots of time outdoors. I often spend 2-5 hours outdoors with the children on a normal working day.

      Thank you so much! The first week is a little different compared to the rest of the year, it is a summer school with children from different school together at one big school. Next week I’ll be back at my regular school. I hope your week is amazing.

        When does the school year start and end in Sweden?

        I feel we’re really lucky in Latvia to have three months of summer holiday, from 1 June to 1 September. Is it the same in Sweden?

          It is not exactly the same, the summer holiday starts around 2-3rd week of June (this year June 12 was the last day). The break ends in mid August. Kindergarten have summer school all summer for those parents in need of childcare due to work.

            Oh, wow… our kids are lucky to have longer summer break, but they have long hours when the school starts. Sometimes till 4PM starting at 8:30AM
