Today I’m grateful for the new glasses I picked up yesterday. They are very comfortable and I feel good in them. They are just right for me. I ordered them about a month ago but due to it being summer and vacation time it took a little longer than usual to get them. I am so happy they are finally here. Now I only need to get a hair appointment, preferably sooner than later.

What are you grateful for today?

Maria

  3. Nice, they become you! I think I’m due this fall for new specs, too.
Grateful for another 3/4″ of rain and highs below 80ΒΊF, I feel so fortunate as I know many others aren’t as lucky.

  4. I love the glasses too! And I love when I find something comfortable like that to wear. I’m grateful my family is whole now. Eventually I’ll see my grandkids but for now we are all on a healthier path together. πŸ’žπŸ€—β€οΈ

    1. Thank you! I am very happy with them. I have a more formal pair of glasses for when that is needed, but these will be my day-to-day glasses.

  8. Looking good! What are you planning to do with your hair? I’m actually growing mine out from about the length you have now.

    1. Thank you Ilze. Nothing too exciting, I just need to take care of some split ends. I would have liked to do it before getting back to work on Monday, but it might not happen before then (birthdays celebrations etc etc).

      1. Birthday celebrations!!! πŸŽ‰ That sounds lovely! 😊

If you don’t mind me asking, do you miss working? What do you do for a living?

        1. I haven’t had the chance to miss working yet, but I do love my job. I am a kindergarten teacher. What do you do for a living?

          1. Oh, wowβ€”a kindergarten teacher! That can’t be an easy job (at least in my opinion!). 😊 Mostly because of the parents, not the kids!

My husband Jānis and I both work in IT. He’s a programmer, and I’m in client support, so I spend a lot of my day writing carefully worded emails. 😊 There’s also a bit of coding and testing involved, which keeps things interesting!

Both woking from home – for how long I don’t know :)

            1. How wonderful to work from home! Some days when there’s a lot of sick kids in school I wish that there would be a possibility to work from home…and yes, you are right, handling parents often take greater skills than teaching the kids. I do love my job, no complaints, but sometimes every job has its challenges of course. Most of them are challenges I find satisfying and interesting to work with. One group I had this afternoon came from seven different countries, none of them being Sweden. That is unusual, but I usually do have a few different countries and cultures represented in the classroom. It is never boring.

              1. Working from home certainly has its advantages, especially on those days when illnesses are going around. I don’t miss the daily commute at all. 😊

And yes, every job comes with its own challenges. I think enjoying those challenges is what makes all the difference. It definitely doesn’t sound like you have time to get bored!
