Today I am grateful for all the berries in my garden. Some of the red currants are ready to be picked. Many more to come these coming weeks.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. What will you do with the red currants? It is berry season here too but I don’t have red currants.

    1. I like freezing them as they are, and use in smoothies, and in my yoghurt during the winter. It tastes like summer! My daughter likes it when I make lemonade, jam, and pies. I would love to gift you a bush or two, if you were closer.

      1. That would be so nice, but I live so-o-o far away!

  2. I love the huge amount of beautiful green in the photos, Maria. I remember seeing little berries like that as a kid in Michigan but I suppose those were different berries that only the birds can eat.

  3. They look beautiful! Jelly or jam? Do they dry for storage?
Grateful for the perfect garden-growing weather. Things are going gang-busters out there!

    1. Thank you :) Gang-busters is the word! I freeze some as they are for smoothies and topping for my yoghurt. I also make jam, lemonade, and pies. They do dry, and I’m going to try drying some (I’ve never done it before). I built a drying rack today. We’ll see how it works.
