I’ve been reading about planting cucumbers and beans together. Yesterday I built a bamboo tower in one of the garden beds, and planted Borlotti beans (cranberry beans) on one side of the tower, and cucumber plants on the other side.

I am most excited to see how this works out. I only have limited space to work with and companion planting is something I always experience with, to make the most of my space and to attract pollinators. It includes having a diversity of flowers and herbs mixed in with the vegetables all around the garden. Today I am grateful for all the time I got to spend in my garden this past weekend. The peace of mind it gives me prepares me for a new work week. Monday here I am!

What are you grateful for today?
