I think these gardens are a brilliant idea, Maria, I have no idea if people do this here but they should. Food security, and considering that you can’t buy real chocolate or even meat in some places, this makes it an even better idea. How disgusting to see labels on meat in stores saying that the meat is lab grown.
And, I’m just happy for another sunny day in the valley and knowing that my family is well. ❤️🙏🏻
They have an important purpose, both in providing food, caring for the climate (oxygen form all the greenery= better air quality), and bringing people and communities together. One big benefit is that you spend time with people of all ages, some that you’d probably never would have met if it wasn’t for the allotment garden. I learn a lot from my gardening neighbour and friend, she is 20 years older than me.
That is so wonderful! I love walking there :)
