For a few years I’ve been working with a combination of different types of composting methods such as bokashi, wormfarms, recycling yard waste, Hugelkultur raised beds, as a result every year my compost produced a little bit more of that desirable black gold. It looks like 2026 is the first year I do not have to purchase any soil at all to my allotment garden. That’s been a huge goal in my aim to live a more sustainable life. I am so grateful that I am finally there!

What are you grateful for today?

Today I am listening to an all-Bach birthday celebration on the radio. So grateful for this beautiful music from this gifted composer. 💖 🙏🏼

  3. Beautiful black gold!
I remember how excited students were when they used a barrel composter in the school garden, lining up to turn it a few times! The best classroom…
