Welcome to the Weekend Coffee Share! Can I get you a cup of coffee? Or tea? I learned something new about coffee this week. I learned that if you travel first class on the train you have access to this little station seen in the photo above, where one can get free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, fruit, and candy.

To rewind to the beginning, I spent a couple days in Stockholm this week attending a seminar. On Friday morning I found out that the train I was supposed to take home in the evening had some track issues on a section of the way, they were going to replace that section with buses, and take a slightly different way, delaying me hours. Not so fun. Sometimes they solve train issues during the day and I thought to myself that the only thing I could do was to wait and see, the trip was still ten hours away when I found out. However, they could not resolve the issue during the day and I prepared myself for the longer journey. ..When I all of a sudden remember that there is a more expensive, high-speed train that takes a different route. That train was going to leave in ten minutes. I called the train company while walking quickly to the platform the high-speed train was going to departure from. I was lucky and got to talk to an operator after less than a minute, that never happened before..he switched out my cheap student tickets on the delayed train to first class tickets on the high-speed train at no extra cost! I boarded the train two minutes before it took off, and came home very early. The seats where so comfortable and then there was the extra bonus of free coffee and tea. There was a restaurant on board as well. I felt so lucky!
