For a couple years I’ve been eyeing a gardening book that are slightly different from most gardening books I’ve seen. I ordered it a week ago, and it arrived today. I woke up with a fever and some other boring symptoms this morning, seeing the book in the mail made me smile. I have not started to read it yet, but I promise to write more about it when I have. It is about heirloom vegetables, spices and flowers suitable for the Nordic climate. It is their history, how to grow them, their benefits, and seed saving for future generations. There’s also chapters about how to care for the soil and our climate when gardening in this part of the world. I am so excited to add this book to my reading list and personal library.

What are you grateful for today? Would you like to join me in this Daily Gratitude Practice 2026?
