Today I am reflecting over how grateful I am for my mornings. I usually get up before 5am and spend a couple hours reading before going to work, (some days it is only one hour but it still makes a difference). Sometimes, like this morning, I read books for school, and sometimes I read for my own pleasure. My mornings make my days bright and beautiful, even when it is dark outside. I am so grateful that I can decide over my own time in the mornings.

Would you like to join me in this Daily Gratitude Practice 2026? Tell me, what are you grateful for today?

Maria

  1. Ditto! A nice, quiet start with a cup of tea sets the tone for my day. (I’m enjoying your list, we share many of the same gratitudes. :) )

    1. Thank you! It is peaceful to start the morning with a good book. What do you like to do first thing in the morning?

      1. You are welcome Maria, I like to turn the TV on and have something light to eat while I get the morning post ready to upload, then have a proper breakfast. I have a daily routine through out the day. Retired life!

  3. I love my slow weekend and Wednesday mornings (I don’t work on that day), but when I have to go to work it is up, shower, breakfast and bus.

    1. I bet those days you do get to enjoy slow mornings makes up for the rest of the week. In 2024 I had Wednesdays off and it was lovely to have a day in the middle of the week all to yourself (sort of..I was finishing up my masters). This year I don’t work on Fridays, but I have school. School is a different energy and I like the way my brain has to adjust between work and school, it keeps me on my toes, in a good way.

  4. I’d love to build that habit but I’m SO not a morning person. Probably because I’ve always struggled to fall asleep so my whole schedule is off. But this sounds divine.
