This beautiful Sunday morning when I woke up it was -18C/-0.4F outside, but warm and cozy inside. I love the outdoors, but I also love my home. Since this apartment building is brand new every experience is a first. This first winter my daughter and I hoped that the heating and isolation was going to be as good as promised. I am grateful that it is. There’s a constant, even, and very comfortable temperature, no matter what’s going on outside, and there’s no cold drafts near the windows. I am very grateful to have a home that is the right fit for my family. If I sit in the blue chair I have a view of the towns ski slope, that sight always makes me happy. I spend some time there this morning, crocheting and admiring the view.

What are you grateful for today? Would you like to join me in this Daily Gratitude Practice 2026?

  1. I love your home, Maria! So beautiful and minimal. Perfect! 🙏🏻🥰 I am grateful for so many blessings in my life every day, and just for waking up this morning. 🙏🏻

  2. I’m happy to be living in a small apartment that copes well with winter (and the smaller space means less stuff/clutter which I prefer!)
