Today I am grateful for our library. It is within walking distance from my home. I am a regular visitor there. I read a lot and borrow books for school, work, and for fun. I’d say that it is a medium sized library, with passionate librarians that are really good at what they do. The picture shows a Christmas tree made out of books that I noticed during my visit today.

    1. I agree! Our library is amazing! They even have a book-bus that on a regular basis take the library out to people in the countryside, elderly people and all the kindergarten schools.

  2. You are so lucky to have a library. I’ve not been in a library since we left the UK. I used to love choosing books….

    1. I am grateful that we have a wonderful library. I am sorry that you do not have access to a library. Are libraries not a thing in Portugal? Or do they not carry English books?

  4. Love the tree!
My mother is a (retired) librarian, and her sons are avid readers and library users as a result – very grateful for that!

    1. Wonderful!!! It was a profession I considered as a young adult. Do you have a favourite book genre?

      1. My mum enjoyed her career!
No particular genre – I’ll read (or start) almost anything. Authors I enjoy are Elizabeth Strout, John Connolly, Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, Sebastian Faulks judging by our bookshelves!

  7. How wonderful your library is so close! I’ve always wanted to build a book tree. Not sure I could do that now with my cat. LOL I host Silent Book Club at our library – I love it, it’s an introverts happy hour!
